The UP CNET 2026 Counselling is conducted by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Uttar Pradesh, for admission to around 11,610 B.Sc Nursing seats in recognized government and private nursing colleges across the state. Candidates who qualify the entrance examination can participate in the online counselling process. UP CNET counselling 2026: Eligibility criteria

The eligibility for CNET counselling 2026 can be checked from the points below.

• Applicants must be at least 17 years old as of 31st December 2026. The upper age limit for admission is 35 years.
• Candidates should have successfully completed 10+2 (Intermediate) or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized board. A minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is required. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for relaxation as per the applicable government rules.
• English must have been studied as one of the compulsory subjects in the qualifying examination.
• Admission will be confirmed only after the candidate is declared medically fit by the medical authority designated by the university.
• To qualify in the CNET 2026 entrance examination, candidates must obtain the minimum qualifying percentile prescribed by the university: 50th percentile for UR/EWS, 45th percentile for PwD (UR/EWS), and 40th percentile for SC, ST, and OBC candidates.

ABVMU counselling 2026: Process

ABVMU B.Sc nursing counselling is conducted in three rounds - round 1, round 2 and a mop-up round. If any seats remain vacant after the mop-up round, a stray round is conducted. The counselling is done in online mode only.

Step 1- CNET counselling 2026 registration

1. Visit the official website abvmuup.edu.in and sign in using your CNET 2026 Registration ID and Password to begin the counselling registration process.
2. After successful login, verify the personal information displayed on the screen, including your name, parents' details, date of birth, category, and correspondence address. These details are automatically fetched from your CNET application form.
3. Upload the required documents such as Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets. If applicable, also upload valid certificates related to Uttar Pradesh domicile, reserved category, and minority status.
4. Complete the counselling registration by making the online payment. Candidates are required to pay a ₹500 counselling registration fee along with a ₹5,000 refundable security deposit, making the total payable amount ₹5,500.

Step 2- Choice filling, seat allotment and admission process

1. During the choice filling process, candidates should select and arrange their preferred B.Sc Nursing colleges in the order of priority. It is advisable to choose a maximum number of colleges to improve the chances of seat allotment.
2. After submitting the choices, download or print the filled choice list and keep it safely for future reference during the counselling and admission process.

Note:->All the candidates who are allocated seats in round 1 are required to log in to the portal and choose any one of the following options within date and time specified in the schedule -

Option 1- Accept allotted seat and do not wish to participate in round 2 of counselling (freeze)

Option 2- Accept allotted seat and wants to upgrade and participate in round 2 of counselling (float)

Option 3- Decline allotted seat and wants to participate in round 2 of counselling (decline).

1. Candidates who are allotted a seat and decide to accept it must pay a Seat Confirmation Fee of ₹40,000 through the online payment portal. This amount will later be adjusted against the tuition fee of the allotted college.
2. After completing the payment, candidates should report to their allotted college within the prescribed dates mentioned in the counselling schedule. They must carry all original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies for verification.
3. At the time of reporting, candidates are also required to pay an Admission Fee of ₹2,000 to the allotted college. This fee is adjusted in the overall admission fee payable to the institution.
4. The college will verify all submitted documents and eligibility details. Once the verification process is successfully completed, eligible candidates will receive a Provisional Admission Letter, confirming their admission to the B.Sc. Nursing programme.

ABVMU CNET counselling 2026: Documents Required

A list of self-attested one-set photocopies of documents that are required to be deposited during the counselling of CNET exam 2026 are as follows -

• Provisional Seat Allotment Letter issued during the counselling process.
• Five recent passport-size colour photographs with a plain white background.
• Receipt or proof of payment for the ₹40,000 Seat Confirmation Fee.
• A valid government-issued photo identity proof such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving Licence.
• Verification Form submitted during the online counselling/application process.
• Class 12 (10+2) Mark Sheet and Passing Certificate from a recognized education board.
• Class 10 Certificate or Birth Certificate as proof of the candidate's date of birth.
• Transfer Certificate (TC) or Migration Certificate, wherever applicable.
• A Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner or authorized medical authority.
• Valid Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), if applicable.
• Domicile Certificate of Uttar Pradesh, if required for admission to Government Nursing Colleges.
