AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026: Most Important Key Points
- Only for Females: The BSc (Hons) Nursing course at all AIIMS campuses is strictly for female candidates only. (Post-Basic is open to both).
- NCERT is King: 90% of the questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are directly based on Class 11 & 12 NCERT textbooks.
- Negative Marking: Be careful! There is a -1/3 negative marking. Accuracy is more important than speed.
- Two-Step Registration: You cannot sit for the exam by just filling one form. You must complete "Basic Registration" first, wait for approval, and then complete "Final Registration."
- Qualifying Marks: To even be considered for the merit list, you must score the minimum cutoff:
- General/EWS: 50%
- OBC: 45%
- SC/ST: 40%
- Low Competition Cost, High Value: The total tuition fee is less than ₹1,000, but the degree value is recognized globally.
- General Knowledge (GK) Factor: 10 marks are dedicated to GK and Ethics. Most students ignore this, but it is the rank-decider section.
